Bill Bishop served as a Navy SEAL for eight years and during that time served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. After leaving the Navy in the early 1970’s, Bill became a banker and during his professional career was president of 3 different suburban area banks. Bill has served in many civic organizations and now that he is retired he is the President of the Lake Barrington Shores Veterans Association.

Bill has served as a volunteer in many civic organizations but is most honored to have been a volunteer for the Illinois Special Olympics swimming program for 27 years.
