Introducing the NEW Barrington Township Republican Organization!
A Message from Newly-Appointed Committeeman Terry R. Yormark II:
It is with an enormous sense of responsibility, pride, and gratitude that I humbly accept the appointment of Barrington Township Republican Committeeman.
I did not campaign or seek this position in anyway. I was asked, multiple times to reconsider my initial refusals and step up to serve our community in need.
First and foremost, I want to thank Cook County Republican Chairman Aaron Del Mar and outgoing BTRO Committeeman Peter Kopsaftis for their persistence, stubbornness, and strong conviction that I am the right person for the job. I will not let you down.
This is a job I cannot do alone. As a condition of my acceptance, I asked that I be allowed to build my own team, from the ground up, as a signal to the community that this is a New Day in Barrington Township. The team I’ve built is talented, motivated, and ready to getcj to work. We are on a mission to make Barrington Township Republication Organization Great Again and that’s exactly what we are going to do.
I am proud to share that Deanna Stern has enthusiastically agreed to accept the role of BTRO President, and I cannot wait to see what we build together. Zachary Heidner and Andy Spentzos will both serve as Vice Presidents, Mike Gentile and Jackie Kapcheck will continue as Treasurer and Secretary respectively. To accommodate for the demand and talent we’ve already attracted, I am pleased to announce several newly created roles. Joseph P. Fiduccia will serve as Director of Strategy & Development, former marine Joe Bosnick will be our Director of Veteran Outreach, and a soon to be named Illinois State Trooper will be our Director of First Responders Outreach. We’ve truly built a Dream Team with each team member placed in a role that perfectly aligns with their individual passions and areas of interest. Simply put, we are set up for success!
In addition to these official titled positions, I am announcing the creation of a BTRO Patriot Board of Advisors. This Board will consist of the Who’s Who in our community that are willing to stand up and proudly lend their name and expertise to our organization. The creation of this Board will provide an important opportunity for many in our community to be important contributors without any formal time commitments. Just showing their public support of our organization will be invaluable to growing our membership, community involvement, and awareness. I’m pleased to share over a dozen Patriots have already pledged their support.
Outgoing Committeeman Peter Kopsaftis invested a considerable amount of time building relationships and laying the foundation for success. Now, with a strong foundation in place, it’s time to build and go vertical.
We will have many initiatives, but we shall only be judged on one metric, WINNING ELECTIONS.
There isn’t a single executive member on our new team who isn’t sick and tired of getting our asses’ handed to us on election day.
That ends TODAY.
Long gone will be the days of slurring recycled speeches to ourselves over pasta dinners. Instead, our focus and funds will be redirected to direct mailings with specific, targeted messaging designed to drive engagement, donations, and awareness. My overweight figure serves as proof I like pasta as much as anyone, but I like winning more.
Our Social Committee will be tasked with creating exciting and fun events that provide our well-heeled community an excuse to dress up a few times a year making it easier for them to loosen their pockets a little. Our current account balance is not reflective of the financial well-being of our constituents. We must do better.
To raise money for individual candidates from our Township, we will be bringing in speakers, both of local and national relevance for fireside chats and panel discussions, both in large and intimate settings.
We will reach out to Grassroots organizations and find ways that we can work together to deliver on our shared goal, electing Conservatives. Bickering between important Grassroots Organizations and the Illinois Republican Party “establishment” must stop, is childish, and will have no place at BTRO. We are all on the same Team and it’s about time we start acting as such. Our success depends on it.
BTRO will encourage and support all qualified candidates that decide to serve to promote strong conservative values and stand up to fight woke liberal policies that are destroying every part of our great country. Our job as an organization is not to pick and choose favorites, but support qualified candidates so they can get their message out and let our voters decide who is best for the job. We are blessed to have very strong elected officials in our township and rising candidates in the pipeline. It will be BTRO policy that any support that is offered from our organization to any candidate must be offered in reciprocation to any challenging qualified Republican candidate. If we do our job correctly, our voters will be more informed, thus leading to the election of better candidates in a position to win general elections, not just show up for a concession phone call and speech.
Finally, we must increase voter turnout. I don’t care how good a candidate is, we cannot win when 4 out of 5 people stay at home. We must reiterate and educate the point that too many have died for our right to vote and sitting at home is a slap in the face to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. We are all Blessed to live in the greatest country God has ever created, it’s not asking too much to vote once a year to keep it that way. If we are going to win, our messaging needs to be better and we must show up at the polls.
If you have any interest in joining us, please reach out. We are casting a wide net under a large umbrella. You are welcome at the new Barrington Township Republican Organization (BTRO) where we look forward to hearing your ideas!
For God, For Family, For Country, For State, For Community;
Let’s Go!
